Building a network from the ground up: An interview with DIH-HERO

Robotics has the potential to revolutionise the field of healthcare. In this article RODIN project interviewed Dr. Françoise Siepel, Assistant Professor and Technical physician part of the Robotics and Mechatronics Group at the University of Twente. Both Dr. Siepel and Professor Stefano Stramigioli (Vice President Research of euRobotics) are leading the Digital Innovation Hub in Healthcare Robotics, or DIH-HERO. Their goal is to provide a sustainable platform to link up communication, research, development, and facilitation support whilst also helping the innovation flow as the companies bring healthcare robotics to market. DigiPLACE regional workshop in Tallinn

The DigiPLACE event was organised on 1st September 2020 in Estonia’s capital city with a possibility of joining the session online. The workshop was jointly organised by the Ministry of Economic Affairs & Communications – Estonia and the Committee for European Construction Equipment, CECE. The event gathered over sixty participants from the construction field. Know more about the workshop outcomes here.

RobotUnion Smart Specialization in Robotics session at EU Week of Regions and Cities

Most of the developing regions struggle to find out proper innovation instruments that could enhance the so-called entrepreneurial discovery process behind the Smart Specialisation concept in Robotics. RobotUnion consortium believes that the processes and methodologies used within the project at the pan-European level can generate a spillover effect for European regions too, leveraging from the ‘European Structural and Investment Funds’. Satisfying number of proposals turned in for SAE phase-3 open calls
