SME experiments as a way to forge collaborations and support regional adoption of digital technologies

Digitisation has the potential to transform the EU industry. Europe also benefits from strong innovation and industrial base across sectors and countries. Yet, adoption of advanced digital technologies is still uneven. Regional and European programmes (such as Horizon 2020) support and strengthen the regional and industry capacities to adopt these innovative technologies. To optimally benefit from the capacities across Europe however, EU cooperation should also be strengthened.

Event details

In this workshop, two EU projects – DIHNET and Tetramax – will present their respective approach to support uptake of digital technologies across Europe and forge sustainable collaborations. Both projects aim to boost innovation, supporting SME experiments and building EU collaborations. Participants will learn more about the approach of both projects in supporting SMEs, how regions can be involved and hear from SMEs about their experience, view and needs.

The Digitalisation Working Group is an initiative powered by EURADA and FundingBox, should you need further information about the workshop don’t hesitate to contact us.

TETRAMAX is an innovation HUB, helping the European industry and SMEs to gain competitive advantage through access to customized and low-energy computing for Cyber Physical Systems and the Internet of Things. TETRAMAX aims to bring added value to European industry, helping to gain competitive advantage through faster digitization. Moreover, in the long term, TETRAMAX will be the trailblazer towards a reinforced, profitable, and sustainable ecosystem, providing custom computing competence, services and a continuous innovation stream at European scale, yet with strong regional presence as preferred by SMEs.

DIHNET stands for Boosting Widening Digital Innovation Hubs. DIHNET aims to build a digital innovation hub (DIH) network based on experience and practice sharing. A network that will support companies in turning their most innovative projects to life, aid investors in discovering the leaders of digital revolution and help development agencies understand the needs of industry. DIHNET community consists of digital innovation hubs from regions with different technology adaptation levels, SMEs and mid-caps, development agencies and investors, both private and agencies, that all are thinking about the economy of tomorrow.
